Microscopic polyangiitis or MPA is a rare disease resulting in blood vessel inflammation or vasculitis. This inflammation can damage internal organs such as the kidneys, lung, nerves, skin, and joints.
What makes this disease so interesting is that no one is immune. MPA has been diagnosed in men, women, children and the elderly.
The blog is for informational purposes only and was created in partial fulfillment of the requirements for N5308 Nursing Informatics.
Thanks Mary for adding the video. These personal stories really help illustrate how serious this disease is. I, like may of our classmates, had never heard of this. I appreciate you bringing it to our attention and providing us information about it. JJ
Thank you Mary. I have heard of vasculitis but I have never heard of MVP. I really appreciate the blog about your grandmother. Thank you for the insight on this disease. Mary
